Week 1: Mindfulness: What It Is & Is Not

The word “mindfulness” is everywhere….what can it mean to you?  

Week 2: Meditation 101: Why & How

A meditation practice can produce lasting changes in the brain and immune system. Is it right for you? 

Week 3:  Mindful Breathing

Awareness of the breath can cultivate a focused and calm mind, and it’s always with us.

Week 4: Mindful Eating

Mind-less eating can prevent attainment of dietary goals and lessen enjoyment of our eating experiences. A raisin will never just be a raisin again after this session!

Week 5: Mindfulness in Daily Life

Approaching everyday tasks and activities in a mindful way can focus your thoughts and generate gratitude.

Week 6:  Mindfulness of Body Sensations

Physical awareness cultivates the ability to return to the present moment, a basic foundation of Mindfulness practice. 

Week 7: Mindfulness of Emotions 

A fresh look at feelings can change our relationship to them in a more open, aware, and self-compassionate manner.  

Week 8: Mindfulness of Thoughts       June 3rd

Perception is very powerful….how you see (or don’t see) events and situations will determine in large measure how you’ll respond to them.

Week 9: Mindfulness & Self-Compassion June 10th

Respond to difficulties & setbacks in a warm and understanding manner rather than with harshness and self-criticism.

Week 10:  Mindfulness & Loving-Kindness June 24th

What we think, feel, and do toward others shapes how we feel inside. Loving-Kindness has been shown to sooth the pain of disconnection.
